Backing Up Data

Backing up your data is one of the most important jobs, that often gets overlooked.
Things like documents you created, pictures and videos are priceless and irreplaceable.

At the very least you should have an external hard drive and back these files up by copying them to it.

Uploading to youtube is a good way to back up and share home made videos.
Google picassa is a good way to back up and share your photos.
( picassa can be used as a web based application using the link above )
Bookmarks are also valuable data, and should be backed up.
Chromium browser is very helpful for backing up your bookmarks using google sync.
If you have a google mail account, use it to 'sign in' and access the above services

Ubuntu One is a good program to sync and back up documents and photo's as you create or add them.
You need an Ubuntu single sign on account to use this service.
